“Recently moved to the area and went with Rhett based on the reviews here on Google. He knows what's up. I play metal and I've had bad experiences with guitar techs who don't get lower tunings or 7 strings, but Rhett was on board and stoked to work on something he doesn't typically get. I brought him two 7 strings, one needed a pickup swap and the other a new nut and a setup on an Evertune bridge. Super happy with the guitars after he worked on them. He is knowledgeable and skilled. He conducted a thorough examination of each guitar, offering observations and advice along the way, and then made suggestions as to what he would do and gave an estimate of cost. He shows great attention to detail and he treated my guitars like they were his own.

His rates are very reasonable for his high level of work, and he communicated his status often so I knew exactly what to expect. "I had a fantastic experience with Rhett. I brought him two strats. One vintage and one modern. The vintage strat needed all new frets, nut and a set up. The modern needed the frets ground and a set up. The frets were all rolled perfectly on the ends for smoothness and comfortable playing. I also asked Rhett to replace the stock pups in the modern strat with a set of his own custom, hand wound pups. He suggested a slight overwind of the neck pickup to get the sound I was looking for. Wow is the only word that comes to mind. Both the vintage and modern strat have never played or sounded better. He set them up exactly as I had asked. No tweaking needed. I am 100% pleased! Communication was stellar with Rhett keeping me apprised with each step of the job. He knew how important the vintage strat was to me and kept me posted on how the work was progressing.
